  • What is medically available to assist you in weight loss including the evidence behind it.

Module 2 – You Are What You Eat

 Facilitated by: A Dietician and Nutritionist

  • Balanced healthy eating
  • What is in the food we eat
  • Are we really making the right food choices? In the correct amount for our activity levels?
  • Dieting conspiracies and myths uncovered
  • Fad Diets and why they don’t work long term
  • Hidden calories in foods and drinks and how to look for them
  • What changes can you make today?

Module 3 – Get Motivated to Change

 Facilitated by: A Psychologist

  • Change – how difficult it is to change behaviours and habits
  • Barriers to overeating and ideas to overcome these
  • Strategies to help with emotional eating
  • Stress management
  • Staying motivated and on track to achieving long term success
  • What changes can you make today?
 

Module 4 – Activate Your Life

 Facilitated by: An Exercise Specialist

  • The role of exercise in weight loss
  • Understanding the frequency and duration necessary for weight loss contribution
  • Discussing and addressing barriers to exercising
  • Incidental exercise
  • Options for those who are restricted with exercise
  • What changes can you make today?

Module 5 – Supermarket Savvy

 Facilitated by: A Dietician and Nutritionist

  • Interactive virtual supermarket Tour
  • Supermarkets clever marketing techniques
  • Making label reading easier – what to look for? How are the food manufacturing companies fooling us?
  • Better food choices and what to look for
  • Nutrition and health claims on labels and what do they mean?
  • The food industry’s role in weight problems
  • What changes can you make today?
 

Module 6 – Health coaching

 Facilitated by: A Health and Wellbeing Coach

  • Reflection on your journey so far
  • How do you feel about the journey?
  • What barriers have you faced?
  • Are the many facets of your life balanced?
  • Do you celebrate change in life?
  • Strategies for long term goals

Module 7 – Follow up and Sustaining Changes

 Facilitated by: A  Dietician and Nutritionist

  • Reflection on where you started and where you are now
  • Comparison of your blood test results 6 months ago and now
  • What sessions were significant to you?
  • How did the modules support your journey?
  • What supports do you need to continue your change for life?

Activities at Home

Although you are weighed on each visit, there are also extra optional Weigh In's in case you would like extra support and reassurance on your journey. We strongly encourage you to check in!

You also receive at each of the Module Sessions a supportive information pack to insert into your personal records folder. This allows you to continue your weight loss success at home by revising the elements and providing further information relevant to each particular session, as well as enjoyable tasks and activities you can complete.
